Accounts Receivable Specialist (Hybrid- Columbus, GA)

Job Summary 

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for the financial and administrative management of various Fraternal payment services to include the accurate and timely entry of payments and analyzing and reconciling account information for their organizations, as well as overseeing and verifying that all charges in debit, credit, cash, or other payment methods are reconciled on a regular basis. They are also responsible for following specific deadlines for keeping accounting data up-to-date and communicating with systems and other lines of business to verify data integrity. This individual serves as the first point of contact for members, donors, and other interdepartmental teams regarding payment inquiries and requests. 

Responsibilities 

  • Scan, file and forward applicable documents to clients that are received in office.
  • Manage payment returns, declines and chargeback notices.
  • Research and resolve unidentifiable customer payments.
  • Accurately enter fulfillment pledges and payments that are received internally via mail or lockbox across multiple internal interfaces
  • Enter, balance and provide applicable reporting for OmegaFi received pass-through checks.
  • Reconcile Fulfillment accounts and balancing to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis.
  • Provide thorough and timely responses to all donor requests and demonstrate exemplary customer service in all exchanges.
  • Accurately enter credit card and e-check payments taken over the phone.
  • Review refund requests and process them accordingly.
  • Complete manual deposits and assist in resolving deposit discrepancies.
  • Reconcile and balance posted items.
  • Analyze discrepancies in service or performance and make recommendations for updates.
  • Research, respond and document payment processing related incidents.
  • Provide internal support regarding requested updates, payment inquiries and reporting.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Banking knowledge or experience with processing payments.
  • Familiarity with WordPress, Jira, and Confluence applications.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams etc)
  • Comfortable working with technology and productive within a hybrid work environment

Salary Range Disclosure

The base range represents the low and high end of the Togetherwork salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Togetherwork's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include discretionary bonuses, long term incentives, a flexible paid vacation/personal time policy, 6 weeks paid parental leave and more.

Salary Range

US Remote:$30,000- $32,000 USD per year
