Group Account Director / Sr. Director (Remote- US Based)

Position Summary: The Sr. Director/Group Account Director within Togetherwork’s Recreation & Leisure Product Group (Petcare Division). This position is focused on Petcare but will also work across 2-3 other product verticals/teams.  This individual will serve as a senior client-facing member of the integrated team, responsible for leading and growing customer relationships within a portfolio of Enterprise accounts. The primary objectives of the role will be to create a high-functioning account team, lead the daily customer expereince of Top 10-15 Key Accounts, and drive retention & renewal of the complete list of Enterprise accounts (25-50).  You will develop a thorough understanding of our products, service offerings and the unique dynamics of our customers organization to better expand our relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a High-Functioning Account Management Team:
    • Initially overseeing 2-3 direct reports and potentially more beyond.
    • Create a high-functioning account team through effective coaching, goal setting, and progress development.
    • Provide guidance and support to direct reports to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Lead the Daily Customer Experience:
    • Create & Build Customer Confidence
    • Develop lasting relationships to create loyal customers and improve retention.
    • Consult on product usage best practices and drive feature adoption.
    • Understand their business objectives and how our products support them.
  • Drive Retention & Renewal:
    • Financial / Retainer Usage Opportunities
    • Secure yearly/ multi-year renewals through strong business routines and contract negotiations
    • Ensure customer alignment with ongoing financial deliverables through renewal.
    • Collaborate with development team to provide recommendations based on client feedback to innovate and enhance our products.
    • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and financials (email, shared documents, software/ Salesforce notes)
  • Effective Communication:
    • Create pro-active presentations (in PowerPoint) that help frame-up and deliver against multiple scenarios.
    • Analyze and determine customer needs and be able to summarize in presentation formats:
      • Quarterly Business Reviews
      • Strategic Recommendations
      • Results Reporting
      • Best Practices & Product Adoption Strategies
    • Provide feedback to the Product Management and Support teams; coordinate consolidated customer communications


  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in account management or client leadership roles within the software or technology industry, with at least 8 years of hands-on experience in the field and a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing Enterprise accounts and driving retention & renewal strategies.
    • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing account management teams.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate with technical stakeholders using appropriate language and vocabulary effectively.
    • Comfortable discussing SAAS solutions, cloud-based technologies, and other technical aspects relevant to the industry.
    • Experience translating complex technical concepts into clear, understandable terms for non-technical clients.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Advanced degree preferred but not required.

Salary Range Disclosure

The base range represents the low and high end of the Togetherwork salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Togetherwork's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include discretionary bonuses, long term incentives, a flexible paid vacation/personal time policy, 6 weeks paid parental leave and more.

Salary Range

US Remote: $100,000 - $135,000 USD per year  plus commission
